Perry-McCall to build Cecil Center for Florida Community College at Jacksonville
March 27 , 2006 - (Jacksonville, Fla.) Perry-McCall won the bid to build the Cecil Center for the Florida Community College at Jacksonville.
The Cecil Center will be a 130-acre campus, developed in progressive phases, physically as well as academically. Phase I is a 44,000 square-foot building to replace the present modular buildings which opened in 2004. Completion of the Phase I facility is scheduled for 2007. The planned facility will provide technology-rich classrooms and labs, a library, two auditoriums, a full-service student center and appropriate support facilities. In addition, Phase I is designed to serve as a public shelter for hurricane protection.
The Cecil area is familiar ground to Perry-McCall, with the Jacksonville Equestrian Center and Cecil Recreational Complex, a multi-million dollar 'Better Jacksonville Plan' project, completed only a short distance from this site in 2004.
Perry-McCall, founded in 1989 in Jacksonville, has grown from a small partnership serving one region into an established, client-focused construction management, design/build and general contracting firm servicing the Southeastern United States. Building more than just structures, Perry-McCall builds lasting client relationships that are the foundation of every quality construction project.
