Perry-McCall completes FCCJ Cecil Center campus
July 25, 2007- (Jacksonville, Fla.) Perry-McCall has completed the Florida Community College at Jacksonville Cecil Center campus expansion project on Jacksonville's westside. The project gets its namesake from nearby NAS Cecil Field, which was partially closed in mid-2000 and the land divided between the City of Jacksonville and the U.S. Navy.
The $12 million, 44,000 sq. ft. building replaced the modular buildings which opened in 2004. The facility includes technology-rich classrooms and laboratories, a library, two auditoriums, a full-service student center and appropriate support facilities. In addition, Cecil Center is designed to serve as a public shelter for hurricane protection. Perry-McCall also developed the roadway into the campus as well as the retention pond.
Perry-McCall, founded in 1989 in Jacksonville, has grown from a small partnership serving one region into an established, client-focused construction management, design/build and general contracting firm servicing the Southeastern United States. Building more than just structures, Perry-McCall builds lasting client relationships that are the foundation of every quality construction project.
