Description:
Adventure Landing constructed this water and amusement park one block off the ocean in Daytona Beach, Fla. (now open as Daytona Lagoon). This complicated facility included a go-kart track with maintenance and storage areas, a lazy river that looped within the facility, numerous water slides that ranged from 5 to 80 feet in elevation, an electronic game room, lockers and showering areas for guests. A restaurant and dining area, as well as the hallmark of the park—a 1,000,000 gallon wave pool—were also constructed. This complex facility included numerous maintenance and pump rooms, along with extensive electrical and plumbing requirements. Perry-McCall completed this project on schedule, within budget and without a single change order.
