Description:
This was a major renovation project (156 beds) that consisted of the removal of asbestos and completely renovating the entire building from new windows to new bathrooms, living and sleeping areas, HVAC and entry doors. This project had a very small project window. The timeline for completing the entire job was from May 1 to August 15. Once the removal of the asbestos was performed, demolition of the facility could be started. The project became more complicated when the college baseball team made it to the season playoffs. Careful coordination and scheduling with the school and subcontractors allowed the project to move forward smoothly and the project was completed in time for the beginning of fall semester.
