Description:
The English Building at Chipola College underwent a major renovation to update the old classrooms into a state-of-the-art teaching facility. The project required a complete gutting of the interior, which was done during the summer semester in order to avoid disrupting the school calendar. New fiber optic cabling throughout the facility enables teachers to instruct using laptops that can be plugged in at the student’s desk. A teaching/lecture auditorium added to the building has the ability to project numerous multimedia presentations simultaneously. The entire facility was renovated in a three month period and was open for fall classes.
