Description:
Duncan U. Fletcher Middle School posed a unique challenge to completely renovate and construct new facilities with a fully active school (over 1,000 students) in session. Originally this facility served as a high school and community sentiment for the old school was high. The original façade was salvaged and restored and now serves as a historic landmark in the school's central courtyard. The project included demolition of the existing facility, construction of new classrooms and administration offices, a new media center, an auditorium, kitchen, and a cafeteria. The project was completed on schedule and within budget.
