Description:
This prototype school was built during the same time another prototype school was being built using the same design being fast-tracked elsewhere. The design of this school was for a capacity of 1,200 students and provided state-of-the-art options such as T-2 fiber optics for computers and T-1 data communications. The structural system of the building is steel frame in conjunction with pre-cast exterior walls. The majority of the interior walls are metal stud and gypsum with ceramic tile covering the halls. A standing seam metal roof completes this low maintenance facility.
