Description:
The University of North Florida’s University Center serves as headquarters for the University’s Division of Continuing Education and Distant Learning Extension, and includes a complex state-of-the-art distance learning command center that is used to televise continuing education as well as college courses across the country. The facility provides the university with general purpose classrooms, a large multipurpose banquet, lecture, and exhibit area, and a multi-use conference area. The entire complex is under the control of a central telecommunications room which acts as a hub to all areas of the facility making it possible to send or receive satellite transmissions from any location within the building via on-site up-link equipment.
