Completed in August 2011, the Hagedorn Aviation Complex is a three building, 97,750 square foot, state-of-the-art aviation complex. The three main buildings that make-up the complex are a 2-story Flight Operations Center, which boasts classrooms, office, dispatch, and a control tower and adjoining observation lounge.

The remaining buildings are the 3-story Emil Buehler Aviation Maintenance and Science Building and a new Flight Maintenance Hangar to replace one that was destroyed from a tornado during Christmas 2006. The project was delivered on an accelerated schedule to accommodate academic programs. The Emil Buehler Aviation Maintenance and Science building houses classrooms and teaching laboratories as well as an outdoor observation deck that overlooks the runway and flight towers of the Daytona International Airport.
