The Jacksonville Equestrian Center and Cecil Recreation Complex is one of a few key projects that make up the Better Jacksonville Plan.

The facility includes (2) 45,000 square foot covered arenas, an 80,000 square foot turf arena, (2) outdoor warm-up areas (28,800 square feet each), and a 3,700 seat, 158,000 square foot multi-purpose arena that can be modified to serve numerous other types of non-equestrian community events. In addition to the equestrian related aspects of the complex, there is also an aquatic center with an indoor Olympic swimming pool and a multipurpose community flex-room.

The facility also boasts a softball complex with full sports lighting package, dugouts, bleachers, and concessions.
